Contemporary Drawing Research – Call for Proposals
Deadline Sun 1 September
Drawing Room invites proposals for the Autumn 2019 Drawing Research Forum that examine critical issues around contemporary drawing and reflect a strong research focus. We offer postgraduate students and scholars the chance to field test and peer-review research, and to network and engage with a wider community of academics and specialists. Selected papers will be presented at the next Drawing Research Forum on Monday 14 October 2019.

Join us for the opening of Mal Ȇtre / Performance, a new body of work commissioned jointly by Drawing Room and De La Warr Pavilion. For his first solo exhibition in a UK public gallery, Marc Bauer has used drawing as a vehicle to create small- and large-scale works on paper, a wall drawing and an animation. Using the slow and cumulative process of drawing and erasing, Bauer’s project brings the past into the present in his investigation of humanity.
The artist will lead an informal tour of the exhibition with Drawing Room co-director Mary Doyle.
FREE, all welcome. More info here (https://drawingroom.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e68f12dfa55faffbaa6e0df46&id=4077a6f3c7&e=2007300e5f) .
